The fresh woody, warming, slightly sweet smell of cedarwood oil is a fast acting and powerful deterrent to indoor insect pests and sends them packing.

Widely used in aromatherapy cedarwood oil is reputed to energise, relieve stress and tension and increase concentration. In addition the oil is a natural anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-fungal preventing development of mildew. 

Cedarwood has been used for thousands of years for its natural insect repellent properties from Ancient Egypt and Greece to Tibet. It is mentioned in Homer's Iliad and in the Bible. The name deodara derives from the Sanskrit term deodāru meaning "Wood of the Gods". 

Extracted from the leaves and needles of the Himalayan Cedar, Cedrus deodara, the oil is undiluted and completely additive free. Cedrus deodara is a true cedar, an evergreen conifer native to the Himalayas, and is reputed to have the most potent insect repellent effects of all the cedars. 

Directions for use:

Spray inside wardrobes, cupboards, closets, drawers and storage boxes, along skirting boards and windowsills and in any insect friendly corner or nook. Apply very sparingly as the oil is strong, and only very little is required. Use on hard surfaces as the oil may mark fabrics and untreated wood, so try on a small out of the way area first.

Spray from 5-10cm away. Alternatively spray onto cotton wool and apply with the wool.

Re-apply the oil periodically as the smell fades over time. You can also spray wooden blocks to keep in drawers or wardrobes.
